Meaningful Ramadan: MTI Shares Joy with Orphans and Port Workers
JAKARTA, 13 March 2026 – Amidst the solemnity of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H, PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI) has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility through a series of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) initiatives. This program is part of the "Pelindo Berbagi Ramadhan" (Pelindo Shares Ramadan) campaign initiated by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero).
Beyond expressing gratitude, these actions are designed to alleviate the economic burden on the community while strengthening the harmonious relationship between the company and logistics sector stakeholders ahead of the Eid al-Fitr festivities.
MTI’s social initiatives focus on three primary pillars:
Appreciation for the Frontline: Distribution of 150 takjil (iftar) packages for truck drivers who continue to ensure the smooth flow of logistics during breaking-of-the-fast hours.
Food Security: Provision of 563 basic food assistance packages (Sembako) for stevedores and port workers (TKBM) who serve as the backbone of field operations.
Spreading Joy: Granting donations and support to 240 orphans residing near the company’s operational areas.
The program spans PT MTI’s strategic operational regions across Logistics Regions 1, 2, and 3, covering cities including Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Pontianak, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Ambon, Bitung, Lampung, Palembang, Jambi, and Natuna.
Sucahyo, Corporate Secretary of PT MTI, stated that Ramadan is a crucial momentum for the company to be directly present within the community. "We want to ensure that PT MTI's presence is felt not only through logistics and operational activities but also through tangible actions that touch the humanitarian side," said Cahyo.
He further noted that the takjil distribution for truck drivers also supports local micro-entrepreneurs. Every meal shared is sourced from small businesses surrounding the company's operational sites. For MTI, true success is achieved when business growth aligns with the welfare of the surrounding environment.
Cahyo also highlighted the active involvement of nearly 100 employees through the Employee Social Responsibility (ESR) spirit.
"Our employees enthusiastically participated in the symbolic handover of aid at their respective work locations. We aim to foster empathy and social awareness within every MTI individual, ensuring that the spirit of sharing becomes a sustainable corporate culture," he concluded.
