Indonesia Sends Off First 6.2 Tons of Processed Edible Bird’s Nest Exports to Vietnam from MTI’s CDC Warehouse

Jakarta, October 14, 2025 – PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI), a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), supported the ceremonial release of Indonesia’s first export shipment of 6.2 tons of processed edible bird’s nest products to Vietnam. The event, initiated by the Indonesian Agricultural Quarantine Agency, was held on Tuesday (Oct 14) at MTI’s Cargo Consolidation and Distribution Center (CDC) warehouse in Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta.

This inaugural export marks a significant milestone in strengthening downstream processing of local commodities and expanding Indonesia’s export market across Southeast Asia.

Dr. Sahat Manaor Panggabean, Head of the Indonesian Agricultural Quarantine Agency, said in his remarks that the export aligns with the directive of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to enhance national downstream industries and improve the competitiveness of domestic products.

Meanwhile, Amir Hasanuddin, Head of the Jakarta Agricultural Quarantine Center, added that the export of processed edible bird’s nest products to Vietnam is the result of continuous development efforts under the agency’s coordination and is expected to become a regular agenda for national exporters.

Edwin Pranata, CEO of PT Realfood Winta Asia, the exporter, expressed appreciation for the government’s support and cross-sector collaboration that enabled the success of this inaugural shipment.

“This export represents a tangible outcome of Indonesia’s downstream industry initiative, providing added value, creating jobs, and stimulating regional economic growth. We plan to expand our exports to Thailand by December,” Edwin stated.

MTI and SPSL reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the government’s downstream industry agenda and national export activities.

“As part of the national logistics ecosystem, we are fully committed to supporting local export products by providing integrated, end-to-end logistics services—from factories to destination countries. This effort aligns with MTI’s vision and mission to drive business growth and strengthen the national economy,” said Sucahyo, Corporate Secretary of PT MTI.

The event was also attended by Yandri Trisaputra, Executive General Manager of Regional 2 Tanjung Priok; Sodikin, Head of Tanjung Priok Customs Office; and Aiptu Sudirman, representing the Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief.

The export release ceremony symbolizes the strong collaboration between the government, state-owned enterprises, and private sector players in enhancing the global competitiveness of Indonesian products.
