Bridging the Distance: MTI and SPSL Group Send Hundreds Home for Eid in 2026 Pelindo Group Free Homecoming Program

As a concrete step toward supporting the national holiday logistics, MTI and SPSL Group are facilitating a round-trip service for travelers heading to Solo, Central Java, including their return journey to Jakarta after the festivities.

The departure was centralized at the Ex-Inggom Buffer Area, Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 16). This initiative aims to provide accessible transportation for the public while significantly reducing road accident risks during the Eid al-Fitr 1447H peak travel season.

Commitment to Safety and Community MTI Corporate Secretary, Sucahyo, emphasized that MTI’s involvement in this annual agenda reflects the company’s commitment to social presence.

"We believe that Mudik is a sacred moment for family joy. We have ensured that the entire bus fleet is roadworthy, comfortable, and secure, so that travelers arrive at their destinations in high spirits," he stated.

Safety remains the top priority. Every bus in the fleet underwent rigorous ramp checks, while drivers were subjected to comprehensive health screenings and drug tests 24 hours prior to departure to maintain the highest safety standards.

Positive Public Response The departure site was filled with a mix of emotion and excitement. Indah, a teacher from North Jakarta, praised the streamlined digital registration process. "The ticketing is much easier now via the website, and the staff were incredibly helpful in directing us to our designated buses," she said.

Panji, a private sector employee, echoed the sentiment. "We feel at ease because the buses are in excellent condition and the amenities—from meals to medical kits—are complete. We hope Pelindo continues this program every year."

A Massive Logistical Undertaking The send-off ceremony was attended by the President Director of PT Pelindo, Achmad Muchtasyar, along with the Board of Directors of the Subholding, representatives from the Tanjung Priok Port Authority (KSOP), Customs and Excise (KPU Bea & Cukai), the North Jakarta District Attorney’s Office, and members of the TNI-Polri.

Overall, the 2026 Pelindo Group Homecoming Program has mobilized nearly 7,000 participants using 73 premium tourism buses. These units serve various routes across Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi, meeting international benchmarks for safety and passenger comfort.
