MTI Expands Logistics Services in Eastern Indonesia

Jakarta, September 1, 2025

PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI), a subsidiary of Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s national supply chain by expanding its logistics network to Eastern Indonesia.

This strategic move is part of Pelindo Group’s ongoing business restructuring initiatives, marked by the commencement of operations of a 3.1-hectare Line 2 yard at Bitung Port, North Sulawesi, effective September 1, 2025. The presence of MTI in Bitung complements its earlier expansions in Eastern Indonesia, where the company already operates in Makassar and Ambon ports.

The handover ceremony for the Line 2 operations was held at PT Pelindo (Persero) Regional 4 Bitung office. The event was attended by James David Hukom, General Manager of Pelindo Regional 4 Bitung; Budi Azmi, Acting President Director of MTI; and Martogi H. Silalahi, Vice President of Business Partnerships at SPSL.

In his remarks, James welcomed MTI’s arrival and expressed his optimism:

“We warmly welcome MTI’s presence in Bitung. With its experience and expertise, I am confident MTI will be able to maximize the potential of Line 2 as a logistics development hub in North Sulawesi by providing integrated logistics services connected to Bitung Port,” James stated.

Meanwhile, MTI’s Acting President Director, Budi Azmi, conveyed his gratitude for the strong support received from Pelindo Regional 4 Bitung and SPSL management:

“We sincerely thank the Pelindo Regional 4 Bitung team for their cooperation from the preparation stage through to the inaugural operations, as well as the SPSL Board and Management for their support that ensured the successful go-live of this handover,” Budi expressed.

He further emphasized MTI’s commitment to continuously enhancing customer satisfaction through innovation and service improvements.

As part of its commitment to workplace safety, MTI also distributed personal protective equipment (PPE) to workers and special vests for security personnel during the ceremony, witnessed by MTI and Pelindo Regional 4 Bitung management.

As a member of Pelindo Group, MTI continues to strengthen its role as an integrated logistics service provider, actively supporting smooth supply chain operations while fostering sustainable regional and national economic growth.
